Abhishekagni Leaders Conference Day 2:

The Abhishekagni Leaders Conference 2019 being held at Sehion Retreat Center, Attapadi, Kerala entered its second day today. The day began with a session by Rev. Fr. Daniel Poovathinkal who spoke about 'God's calling'. Whilst speaking on the calling to serve the Lord, he explained that no one on their own ambition could come to serve the Lord because the calling and the grace to serve are from God and not a human initiative. Through the session he gave the participants a deeper understanding on how they could respond to the calling and serve the Lord.

His Grace Most Rev. Mar Raphael Thattil, Bishop of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Shamshabad celebrated Holy Mass and prayed for all the attendees of the conference to be filled with a new anointing of the Holy Spirit. During the Holy Mass, His Grace spoke about the urgent need for missionaries and lay evangelists to carry out the mission of preaching the Gospel. He added that the real Church of Christ exists not in the buildings of brick and mortar rather it is built and strengthened when we carrying out evangelisation missions and reach the Gospel to one and all. The Holy Mass was followed by the Holy Eucharistic adoration which was led by His Grace.

The evening session was led by Rev. Fr. Daniel Poovathinkal and Rev. Fr. Xavier Khan Vattayil. The session concluded with the Holy Eucharistic Adoration.

The 5 day Abhishekagni Leaders Conference 2019 began at 3 p.m. on 12 May 2019 and is being attended by more than 1500 participants from various religious institutions and retreat centers in and around Kerala. The Conference is led by Rev. Fr. Xavier Khan Vattayil and is supported by the ministerial services of several greatly anointed priests, women religious, preachers and lay evangelists. The Conference will conclude by 8 p.m on 16 May 2019.
